Chun Wing Ng a.k.a. Tsun Sum Ng; beloved husband of the late Wai Kei “Vickie”, “Yuk” of 52 years; loving father of son, Gorman (Christa); cherished grandfather of Julianna; adored godfather of Pansy (Michael).
Born in Guangdong, China on November 6, 1938, to father Kee Sheung and mother, Po Man. He was the youngest of five (5), brother, Man Yan; brother, Shui Wing; brother Chau Wing; sister, Shau Lan.
At the age of 11, he left China venture the world. He married his love Wai Kei in April 1969 and in the following year had a beautiful son. Immigrating to Chicago in 1976 with his family and in-laws, he made Chicago his home. Tsun Sum worked as a chef and restaurant owner until retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed being around his family and repairing things around the house. In retirement, he found enjoyment walking miles daily to local bakeries for his coffee, bun, newspaper, and chatting with fellow retirees.
Prior to his passing, he was regularly visited by family. On May 16, 2022, Tsun Sum passed away peacefully in Carmel, Indiana. Tsun Sun was preceded in death by his wife, Wai Kei; father, Kee Sheung; mother, Po Man; brothers, Man Yan, Shui Wing, Chau Wing; sister, Shau Lan. He is survived by his son, Gorman, granddaughter Julianna, goddaughter Pansy, several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, 9:00 – 11:00, service to follow at Dalcamo Funeral Home 470 W. 26th Street. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
