Raymond Gonzalez of Bridgeview, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 31, 2020. He was born on September 16, 1920 and recently celebrated his 100th birthday. Settling in Bridgeport in 1953, Raymond was a long-time resident until he moved to Bridgeview after his retirement from the railroad. Raymond will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, being a great story teller and his love and unwavering devotion to his family. Beloved husband of the late Guadalupe, nee Rosas; Loving father to Raymond (Irene) Gonzalez, the late Yolanda (the late Jeffrey) Jenskovec, Lucia (Sean) Brody, the late Inez Gonzalez, Alfredo Gonzalez, and Mary (Lucio) Ortiz; proud grandfather of Athena (Joseph) Gomez, Christine Rokita, Stephanie (Jimmie) Lunn, Donald (Samantha) Garcia, Aaron Jenskovec, Jacqueline Brody, Jason Jenskovec, Richard (Ashley) Ortiz, Natalie (Neil) Kennelly, Erin (Michael) Lenardi, Ashley (Anthony) Muzzillo, Ryan (Tracy) Brody, Courtney (Joshua) Brody, Meaghan (Ben) Trimble, and Sean (Christina) Brody. Dearest great grandfather of 27 and great-great grandfather of 2. Survived by his brother Ricardo Gonzalez and beloved uncle to many. Raymond’s undying love, laughter, and joy will be carried on in his legacy and he will be forever missed. Private burial at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice, IL.
