Kelly L. McGowan:

Precious daughter of Dennis and Diane (Gillis) McGowan.  Loving sister of Matthew and Brian McGowan, Preceded in death by her late twin sister Jennifer.  Treasured granddaughter of Ronald and Loretta Gillis and Patrick and Ursula McGowan.  Cherished niece of Ron and Shannon Gillis, Kim and Marty Moloney, Eddie Bowen and the late Laura Gillis, Kevin and Insun McGowan, Maureen and Dave Slocum, Mary and Patrick Olson and Kelly and Jerry Kaiser.  Dearly loved cousin of many.

Kelly LOVED MUSIC from live concerts like Springsteen and Mellancamp, concerts in the park in Michigan, the piano bars and the two radios she had going 24/7 in her room.  She could hear two notes of a song and she could name that song and artist. She loved traveling places, every morning she asked for Michigan (where she went spent many of her summers with Mema) and Florida, but also had adventures to Ohio, New York, Wisconsin. Jamaica, Cozumel, and Las Vegas.  She was adventurous.  She tackled the biggest roller coasters and always wanted the boat to go faster (go boat go). She loved birthdays (we had to call and sing happy birthday to anyone celebrating that day) and Christmas. She was Daddy’s babydoll and Mommy’s Kellyjellybellybean. She inspired her family with her strength and determination. She was a gift and we were privileged to have her in our lives and as part of our family.

Due to Covid-19, we will have a memorial celebration of Kelly’s life in late summer.
