Our dear matriarch, Faustina Dyauco Chua, 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023. Tina was born in Moncada, Tarlac, Philippines to Primitivo Dyauco and Lu Siu Hua on December 19th, 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband, Serafin Chua Sr., and only daughter, Betty Chua - Ipac and son-in-law, Fermino Ipac; her parents, Primitivo and Siu Hua Dyauco; sisters and brothers, Belen Dyauco - Que, Agripina “Pining” Dyauco, Mario Dyauco, Anita “Tolie” Dyauco - Chua, and Jose “Agong” Dyauco.
She will be forever loved by her children: Jaime “Pamboy” Chua (Remedios Chua), Simeon “Alot” Chua (Merle Chua), late Betty Chua - Ipac (late Fermino Ipac), Eugenio “Eugene” Chua (Marilyn “Marl” Chua), Dr. Serafin “Anggeng” Chua, Jr. (Dr. Merlyn Chua), and the youngest of the brood, Manuel “Maning” Chua, Sr. (Marion Chua).
She was beloved grandmother to all of her grandchildren: Andrea Teresa Balbas (Ernest Paul Balbas), Janet Jacinto (Maj. Jerick Jacinto), Maria Teresa “Matet” Chua, Gloria “Glo” Teresa Chua; Joseph Chua, Myra Barcas (Garry Barcas), and Alexander “Alex” Chua (Roseann Chua); Gilbert Ipac (Chris Ipac), Geneva Eustaquio (Chevrolet Eustaquio), Girlie Butac (Marvin Butac), and Grace Chua - Ipac; Gene Matthew “GM” Chua and Kimberlee Mae “Kim” Chua; Kennedy Paul “KP” Chua (Maricar Chua), Manuel “Maning” Chua, Jr., Philip James Chua (Ruth Chua), Meryl Chua (Jade Santos) and the youngest of all, Zelie Therese “Zel” Chua.
She was a cherished great-grandmother of: Edgar Jayson, Louise, and Gian Balbas; Cleah, Jerick, Dion and Jia Jacinto; Marci Barcas; Ian and Cassy Chua; Alvin and GM Butac; Maxine and Blake Chua.
She will be missed by her loving sisters, Dr. Leticia Dy and Maria Luisa “Nani” Dyauco - Relucio.
She will also be missed by her extended family members - the children of her brothers and sisters: late Belen Dyauco - Keh and children: William Keh, Tony Keh, Susan Keh, Imelda Keh, Norma Keh; late Mario Dyauco and children: Odessa Dy, Mark Joseph Dyauco; late Anita “Tolie” Dyauco - Chua (Manuel Chua) and children: Tammy Chua, Mary Jane Chua, and Mary Ann Chua; Maria Luisa “Nani” Dyauco - Relucio (late Federico Relucio): Ferdinand Relucio, Dr. Imelda Relucio, Melanie Relucio, Melissa Relucio, Enrique Relucio, Mark Anthony Relucio, and Carol Relucio.
Obituary & Services
A celebration of life for FAUSTINA DYAUCO CHUA will be held on Friday, October 20th, 2023 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dalcamo Funeral Home (470 West 26th St., Chicago, IL 60616).
A Requiem Mass will be held on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. at Old St. Mary’s Church (1500 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60605).
