Thomas Robert Fashing passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer; belove husband of Margie nee Rastutis; loving son of the late John and late Marie (nee Ronayne) Fashing; cherished brother of Tim (Peggy) and the late Jack (late Norine) Fashing; adored uncle of many. 

Tom was a lifetime resident of Bridgeport, was baptized, confirmed and married at the now closed First Lutheran Church of the Trinity, Chicago

Tom held a BFA Ed from the Art Institute of Chicago ('71), MS in Administration and Organizational Behavior ('72) and MS in Correction/Criminal Justice from Chicago State University ('83). 

Tom began his career in the Cook County Juvenile Probation Department and retired from the Cook County Adult Probation Dept./Gang Intervention Unit where he was known at The Flash. 

Tom also did security work at the Art Institute of Chicago for special events such as the mass and visit of Pope John Paul II in October, 1979.
