In Loving Memory of Raymond Matthew Chin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond (Ray) Matthew Chin,

Ray is lovingly survived by his children, Ryan Chin, Eileen Chin (Brian Kreider), the late Raymond Jr., his grandchildren, Rayden and Jaxen Chin, Emily and Zachary Kreider; his first love, Elaine Chin, his brothers, Frank (Angie), Kenneth (Mary), James (Ramona), and the late Sing Tuen Jay (Winnie), loving uncle to several nieces and nephews, many extended family members, dear friends, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his parents Chei Own Chin and Sun Sam Chin.

Ray was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in those he loved. He was known for his generosity, quiet strength, thoughtful mentorship, and genuine care for others. Whether offering guidance to colleagues, encouragement to friends, or unwavering support to family, Ray left an enduring impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A visionary engineer, entrepreneur, civic leader, and founder of R.M. Chin & Associates, Ray devoted his life to building projects that shaped communities and creating opportunities for others. Through his unwavering integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to public service, he left an indelible mark on the City of Chicago, the engineering and construction industry, the Chicago Chinatown community, and the countless people whose lives he touched.
