Patrick J. McLain, proud and loving father of Richard J. (RJ) McLain, passed away suddenly on June 16, 2020.  He is the son of the late Richard "Pete"  and late Alfreda McLain, and beloved brother of Richard, Cecilia, Wayne, Kelly, Anna, the late Walter, and Mary.  He was a wonderful uncle to his many nieces and nephews, a fond godfather to many, and a dear friend to many.  He was the former, long-time assistant to Mayor Richard M. Daley. Patrick was a proud,  lifelong resident of 11th Ward and the Bridgeport community in the city of Chicago.  He was an avid cyclist and reader, and enjoyed reading and biking along the lakefront, especially at Northerly Island.Due to the COVID-19 restrictions at this time, the memorial service will be held at a later date when more people will be able to pay their respects.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dalcamo Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent to his son:
