IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael "Mike"
Thielmann
December 6, 1968 – September 3, 2024
Beloved husband of Stacia Thielmann nee Andersen; loving father of Hannah (Laurel), Hayley (Joe) and Heather (Seth); devoted son of Nancy (nee Costello) and the late Patrick Thielmann; dear brother of Tina (Steve) Murphy; fond uncle of Megan, Jillian, Shawn, AJ, Avery, Rocco and Zeke.
Michael ("Mike") Thielmann was a loyal, honest, and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He would give the shirt off his back and a box of Triscuits. He had an infectious laugh, and a devious smirk, and was always up for a good prank.
If you ever needed something fixed, Mike was there to help. He was a hard-working, proud union man. While he enjoyed getting his hands dirty, he loved taking long union breaks to check in with his loved ones.
Mike prioritized his health and took pride in his physical appearance. He was a hard-core CrossFit athlete and even built himself a personal gym. In his last competition, he placed first in his age bracket. Aside from being physically fit, Mike also loved his hair. He took pride in his luscious salt and pepper locks and recently donated fourteen inches to Locks of Love.
As the eldest child, Mike took full advantage of the perks. He was the typical older brother, embodying both the joys and mischief of sibling dynamics. Always a step ahead, he had a knack for playful teasing and getting into trouble. Underneath that mischief was a deep and unwavering love and desire to protect. Mike modeled after his late father a knack for mechanics and woodworking. His mother taught him his nurturing character and his delicious cooking.
Mike was the definition of a "girl dad." Some would say he was destined to have all girls because of how soft and nurturing his heart was. He braided hair, built a batting cage, boogied in the Variety show, and jammed with the band. Mike's favorite job of all was when he was a stay-at-home dad. In fact, Mike loved it so much, that he would allow his daughters to stay home from school to keep him company. He cooked, baked, and taught his girls endless life lessons on how to be the man of the house. Mike's love for his shih-tzu's runs deep. Rosie & Rogue were pampered with spa sessions, long walks, homemade food, and endless snuggles.
At an early age, Mike met his soulmate. Through thick and thin they were an example of true love, hard work, and dedication. Mike has adored Stacy since the beginning. They created countless memories together from going to Great America, enjoying pool days, and Friday night pizza and a movie. The older in age they grew together the younger in spirit they became. Their love is truly once in a lifetime.
In saying goodbye to Mike, we hold close to the warmth of his memory and the love he shared. His kindness, laughter, and strength have left an incredible mark on all of us. Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace in the enduring legacy he leaves behind. May his spirit continue to inspire and comfort us as we cherish the moments we had together. Rest peacefully, dear Michael, and know that you will always be held in our hearts. All services are private.
