Mary Janetzke nee Novakowski, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Ronald; loving mother of Deborah (Thomas) Hadley, the late David (Dorothy), Michelle (Bob) Balandis, the late Michael, Pam (Jim) McCormick, Rhonda (John) Tobin, Cathy (Ben) Tassone, and Tricia; wonderful and loving grandmother of Bobby (Angie), Micheal, Sarah (Phil) Meghan (Joey), Kevin (Rebecca), Emily (Eric), Margaret (Andrew), Joseph, Hannah Rose, Benjamin, Adeline, Grace, and Maddie; most cherished GiGi (Great-grandmother) of Isaac, Timmy, Lylah, Brynn and Nicholas; sister of the late Chester (Beverly) Novak, Carol (Steve) Zapka, and the late Helen (Frank) Baltazar; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Adeline Novakowski and her sons Davide and Michael. Mary was the owner of Mary's Corner (Kairis); arranging many trips to Las Vegas, horse track outings, as well as "Mary's Corner picnics", so many parties and events in the tavern. Opening day with the White Sox was her favorite time greeting all the Sox Fans. She was also involved with the Women's Club of St. George. She loved doing flowers, ceramics and getting a suntan. Most important she loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. What a fulfilling and beautiful life. Mary will truly be missed by her family. Visitation, Tuesday January 13, 2026 from 3 pm to 8 pm at the Dalcamo Funeral Home, 470 West 26th Street. Funeral Wednesday 9:15 AM from the Funeral Home to St. Barbara Catholic Church for Mass at 10 AM. Interment St. Casimir Cemetery
