John H. Moy Sr.

Some remember him as Johnny or Mr. Moy, but to us, he's daddy / dad.  Our father passed away on April 18, 2025.  As a proud American, he was an Army Veteran.  He also was a loyal city employee for more than 2.5 decades.  He was not a man of many words, but a man of action.  His positive impacts have imprinted communities throughout Chicagoland and beyond. He was the beloved son of the late King Man Moy and late Yok King Lum Moy; loving father to Cynthia (Nick), Kat (Naor), Jacqueline (Leoncio), John Jr., and Christopher; proud grandfather to Zachary (U.S. Navy Sailor), Edward, Joshua, Frankie, Emma, Jonathan, Liam, Nicole, Natalie, Isabella, Dylan, Avery, Carina, Ahmiyah, Matthew, Felicity, Ezekiel, Arielle, and Elena; cherished brother of Alan and Jenny (Paul); kind-hearted uncle to Christine (Tony), Joni (Shawt), Jared, Ethan, and Giliana; adoring grand-uncle to Nicolette, Diamond, Henry, Victoria, Olivia, and Amelia. Visitation is on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.  Program starts at 9:30 am.  Funeral procession will be promptly at 10:30 am. to Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery.
