Frances (Gramma Frankie) Yersich passed away peacefully in her home with her fami!y on Saturday, November 19th, 2022. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Frank (Dolly) Yersich. Gramma Frankie was well known in her Bridgeport community. She walked daily with her dog Fang and then later with Daisy, and then with her kitty, Luna, whom she pushed in a special, Gramma Frankie designed cat stroller. Frankie loved conversation and people; no one in the old neighborhood was a stranger to her. She always had something for everyone, even a chocolate chip cookie for the local squirrel (she swore his favorite). She was a regular at the old Bridgeport Restaurant and then at her new favorite, George's Gyros. Frankie was also the president of the McKinley Park TOPS & a lifetime member until it's closing in 2020. She so enjoyed her Silver Sneakers membership at the YMCA.  She was an active 2 to3 days a week, member into her 90's & celebrated her 90th Birthday with them. She had a passion for plants & flowers. She felt that anyone's flowers were there for the taking & often had fresh bouquets throughout her apartment. Mom is survived by her loving children: Kerry (Chris Mikrut), Danna (Patrick) Darragh, Deborah (Daniel) Gallivan, Jeffrey, and Gregory (Sherry Naujokas). Gramma Frankie is also survived by her fond, dear grandchildren: Patrick, Jeanne, Aron, Jacob, Lucas, Colleen, Daniel, Christopher, Amanda, Jeffrey, Morgan Marie (deceased), Morgan Drew, Gregory, Hope, and her precious great grandchildren: Markus, Noel, Liberty, Wyatt, Jameson, Kyle, Darren, Shea, Daniel, Nalina, Sonali, Liyana, Zaidan, Harper, Aiden, Meadow, Gregory, Lincoln, Braxton, Maverick, Jett and Bo. Visitation will be Sunday, November 27th at Dalcamo Funeral Home in Chicago from 3pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 28th, from 9am to 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Evergreen Park
